New SIR Schedule starting September 1, 2014

New Practice Schedule Effective SEPTEMBER 1st, 2014

High School- Open to all high school wrestlers. Practice consists of highly effective technique demonstrated by SIR’s experienced staff. High tempo drilling will be focused as an important part of this group. Live wrestling and situational wrestling will be incorporated.

Wednesday: 6:30pm-8pm

Sunday: 11am-12:30pm

Middle School- The Middle School class is targeted towards wrestlers between 5thand 8th grade. Practice is run like our high school class by introducing the skills and technique needed to compete and win at the High School level. Drilling new skills and technique the RIGHT way will be a main focus for this group. Live situational wrestling will also be incorporated

Wednesday: 5:00pm-6:30pm

Sunday: 11am-12:30pm

Elementary- The elementary class is focused towards wrestlers who are newly introduced to the sport, 1st-4th grade, or those with less than 3 years of wrestling experience. This class introduces the most fundamental and basic skills that will be instrumental to the wrestler throughout his wrestling career. At SIR, we feel this is the most important stage because this is where good or bad habits will be built.

Tuesday:  5pm-6pm

*OPEN MAT*- Open mat is designed for wrestlers in MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL to have an opportunity to work on specific techniques in a free form environment or to just come in for a hard workout. Coaches will be on hand to address specific areas a wrestler may want help with or to answer any general questions a wrestler may have. This class is structured as a college style “roll-around” practice, different from any other class SIR offers. It is strongly recommended that you have a partner while attending.

Friday: 5pm-6:15pm

As of August 1, 2014, BIG things are happening at SIR Wrestling!!!

SIR is pleased to announce the New Owner and Operator at SIR Wrestling, Mr. Will Livingston!!!!

Will is a 2006 graduate of Kittatinny High School.  While competing for Kittatinny, Will compiled a 145-12 record and placed all four years at the NJ State Tournament: 8th, 7th, 3rd, and 1st.  Upon  graduation, Will attended Ohio State University where he started as a true Freshman @ 125 lbs, and placed 8th in the Big Ten Conference Tournament.  After redshirting his Sophomore year, Will transferred to Virginia Tech and competed at 133 lbs.  Will then decided to make one last move by transferring back to New Jersey to attend Centenary College.  Will became Centenary's first All- American by placing 3rd at the Division III National Tournament. Will finished his career at Centenary by becoming the programs first multiple All- American by placing 6th in the nation his senior year.  Will graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor's Degree in History.  Will is currently working towards receiving his teaching certificate to become a full-time teacher.

SIR Wrestling was founded in 1996 by Shawn and Lisa Hall and has served as a resource for the wrestling communities of Northwest New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New York.  The Halls would like to take this opportunity to thank the extensive SIR Family for the past 18 years of support and the abundance of great memories and friendships made along the way.  SIR has provided hundreds of young wrestlers with their first introduction to the sport of wrestling and has seen many young men use the sport to attain life goals and become leaders in their communities.  The Halls are very proud and honored to have had the opportunity to share in the lives of so many fine families.

It is with great pride that Will Livingston becomes the new Owner and Operator of SIR.  A SIR prodigy himself, Will has served as a loyal, committed coach to the SIR family for the past 9 years.  Will's values, love of the sport of wrestling and commitment to the SIR clientele make him a perfect fit for taking the helm at SIR.  As time will have its way in this relay of life, the baton is being passed to the next generation.  Will shall provide leadership and opportunities for SIR wrestlers to continue in their pursuit of excellence, both on and off the mat.

Join us in congratulating Coach Will!!!

Shawn and Lisa Hall

To all the SIR wrestlers, parents and supporters, I am extremely honored and excited to announce that I will become the new Owner and Operator of SIR Wrestling.  With Shawn and Lisa entering a new chapter in their lives, it has afforded me infinite possibilities to pursue coaching and teaching the sport which has taught me countless valuable lessons in life.  My affiliation with SIR dates back to late 1999 when I started to learn the true meaning of the "Hard Nosed" style of wrestling that Coach Hall preached. (Back then practice was held in Shawn and Lisa's basement, aka "The Dungeon of Pain".) From that time and throughout my high school career, SIR has been the cornerstone for my wrestling success. Furthermore, SIR has helped shape the man I am today.  I am 100% committed to continue to build the SIR tradition and rejuvenate the program through some needed changes as the role of clubs and the sport of wrestling continue to evolve. With that being said, I look forward to passing along my knowledge of the sport as well share the countless lessons I have learned through the greatest wrestling club I've ever been associated. I would like to humbly thank Shawn and Lisa for their endless support as I begin a new chapter in SIR Wrestling.
